• Invariably, someone coming to our meet-ups brings treats to sweeten the afternoon. Eleanor baked these wonderful cupcakes decorated with cats’ faces and paw prints for Fiona’s birthday. They were delicious. Well done, Eleanor!  
  • On Saturday, October 13, 2012, Jane Mitchell, award-winning author and Regional Advisor, presented a day-long workshop in Dublin on writing for children. This practical, hands-on workshop took place at the offices of Children’s Book Ireland with 8 enthusiastic participants and we all learned lots from Jane Mitchell’s excellent day!

I wrote an article about the second SCBWI Europolitan Conference that I attended in Amsterdam over the Easter weekend in early April. It was an amazing experience, and I highly recommend that anyone who can should go to a conference whenever they get the chance.
